Øivin Fjeld and the G-Sharp guitar
PHIL HADLER
Phil Hadler, UK Importer of the G# Guitars. Phil was born in Whitstable and started to play Skiffle after seeing Lonnie Donigan. A very cheap acoustic guitar was all Mum could afford. Later he added an electric pickup and found he could use Dad's radio as a 2 watt amp! Great!
Along came Buddy Holly and Hank Marvin; he had to get a Stratocaster! In the UK in 1962 in a shop in his home town of Whitstable S/E UK , his mum signed the forms for the HP. Money per month. Cost then £155. OH Boy, Olympic White and full of tone. a later later a real VOX AC30 was added with a Klempt Echo unit. Not too long later Phil changed the VOX for a Fender Bandmaster amp.

Many bands were joined over the following years, Shadows, R&B 50/60 Rock & Roll, soul and blues! He left a very secure trade (Radio & TV Audio Technician) to be come a professional Player and tour Europe. Later joining the early days of Gerry Dorsey/Englebert Humerdink band. He had a ball and a good 2 years. Things changes and managers threw out the band, so back to normal UK bands and more local gigs. His skills as a guitar tech' helped the income! and knowledge of Valve/Tube amps came in very handy as many modern tech's were too frightened to touch Valve amps. HIGHVOLTS!
Later on Phil left the road to follow his original trade. A keen electronics buff and then Radio Ham (G4CZU) He entered a company now known as ICOM. very famous two way radio people, now Managing Director. Phil also imports and distibutes HADLER guitars in the UK.

The music side has never left him and putting on special one off shows took his time. Hank Marvin, Albert Lee, Tommy Emanual, to name a few. Phil now looks after UK side of things for Albert Lee, they have become goods music mates! Further time is put in with a childrens charity in Kent UK.

You can call him an old fart! He may just complain!
